TERMS OF SALE
Thank you for considering an animal from Cedar Barn Homestead.
Please ensure you have read and agree to all terms prior to making your decision to purchase.
All sales are under contract and all deposits are non refundable.
A deposit is required as a non refundable deposit. This will equal half the purchase price.
This deposit will reserve the selected goat of your choice. We do not hold an animal without a deposit. A pick up date must be provided to the seller and agreed upon. If the animal is not picked up on agreed upon date, then after 2 weeks (14days) extra boarding cost will be applied. Full payment is due at pick up time. If after 25 days of agreed upon date the animal has not been picked up or arrangements agreed to by us have not been made. The sale is considered complete and terminated. We reserve the right at this point to resell the animal with no compensation to the purchaser.
Sales/Payment:
For convenience deposits can be made by e-transfer, or cash. Balance due on pickup must be made in cash or e-transfer that is accepted prior to pick up. All monies due are required to be paid in full prior to the animals leaving our property. No exceptions.
We reserve the right to sell or not sell any animal.
Delivery/Transport:
All arrangements for shipping are the responsibility of the purchaser. This includes shipping fees, shipping crate and any documentation that may be required by the shipper. Transportation may also be arranged to an agreed upon location on a case by case basis for an additional fee to be agreed upon.
Once the animal is picked up or delivered, the purchaser assumes full responsibility for the well being of the animal.
Sellers Responsibility:
All animals will be disbudded/not disbudded and tattooed (if purchaser is getting a registered kid) prior to leaving our homestead.
In the case of wethers and non registered animals they will only be disbudded if purchaser requests this.
Transfer of ownership will be processed within 6 months of sale completion date under the requirements of the Canadian Livestock Registration Corporation (CLRC).
Sellers Disclaimer:
We provide all our buyers with animals that are in good health and free of disease and injury at time of sale. All animals are up to date on all vaccinations at time of sale.
The animals that are sold with the expectation that he/she will breed given proper care and nutrition once they have left our homestead. As we are dealing with live animals we cannot guarantee that they will mature as you expect. There are many different factors in the development of the animal including feeding, health care maintenance, parasite control, housing, breeding, stress etc.
Any claims contesting that stated above must be fully substantiated by a physical examination and applicable medical testing performed by a fully licenced doctor of veterinary medicine. We will not be responsible for any of the cost incurred by the purchaser in obtaining such examinations and tests.
If the case is substantiated, we will work with the purchaser to amicably resolve to the situation. All costs incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser.
We make no guarantees or warranties other than stated above.
While all animals are disbudded (unless purchaser requests animal be left with horns).. We can make no guarantee that the animals may not develop scurs at a later date.
It is of the utmost importance to us that the animals are ready when they are ready. Therefore they will only leave when we believe they are ready to do so.
Changes to the terms of sale may occur at any time without notice.
